Our team had a fantastic time attending the 4th annual AIST Women in Steel Conference in Cleveland, Ohio! The conference brought together professionals from across the global steel industry for several days of learning, collaboration, and professional development, highlighting the importance of continued growth and connection within the steel industry.
This conference was created to support the recruitment, engagement, and professional development of women through keynote presentations, panel discussions, leadership development sessions, and networking opportunities. The event has grown to include more than 500 professionals across operations, engineering, technical services, and corporate functions, creating valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, share experiences, and strengthen relationships across the steel industry.

One highlight was hearing from some of the industry's most influential women, who shared their career journeys, professional experiences, and perspectives on steel's future. Their insights offered an inspiring look at the challenges and opportunities shaping our industry while reinforcing the importance of strong leadership, effective communication, and continued professional growth. The EAFab team also participated in professional development workshops focused on building soft skills, strengthening communication, and developing the skills needed to collaborate effectively and lead with confidence.

At EAFab, we recognize that advancing the steel industry takes more than technical expertise. It requires strong relationships, effective communication, and a commitment to learning from one another. Both women and men play an important role in supporting these efforts and helping create an environment where everyone can grow and succeed.
A special thank you to the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) team for organizing such an impactful event and creating opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate the women shaping the future of steel. We appreciate the dedication of everyone who made this conference possible and look forward to continuing these conversations and putting what we learned into practice.
