CFD Analysis for Performance Optimization

EAFab utilizes Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to simulate and optimize fluid and gas behavior within steelmaking equipment before fabrication begins. CFD modeling allows our engineers to evaluate and validate pressure, volumetric flow, velocity distribution, heat transfer, and thermal performance to develop equipment designs that extend service life.

Cooling Circuit Optimization

EAFab is the first company to implement colored circuitry analysis to more easily identify flow patterns, wear areas, and potential thermal challenges within water-cooled equipment. By analyzing cooling performance and identifying areas of increased heat exposure, our engineers can optimize water-cooling circuits to improve thermodynamics, prevent erosion, extend equipment lifespan, and minimize downtime.

CFD simulations are commonly applied to critical steelmaking components, including water-cooled ductwork, dry ducts, drop out boxes, and other off-gas system equipment. These simulations help engineers understand each operation's gas flow behavior, particulate movement, temperature distribution, and system performance to deliver maintenance-friendly solutions.
