In Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking, the melting process releases intense heat, metal dust, and dangerous gases.

Off-Gas and DOC Systems are built to:

  • Capture these hot, contaminated exhaust gases,

  • Cool them to lower temperatures, and

  • Filter out solids before the air is released.



What Do Off-Gas Systems Do in the Steel Mill?

These systems serve several critical roles:
